as a volunteer, you must/may:
Come as scheduled and on time
Carry out your tasks efficiently and honestly
Commit time for the work
Accept guidance and decisions of the volunteer coordinator
Participate in orientations, trainings and meetings
Keep internal information confidential
Assist in Fundraising

Organizing or help at events
Lead or managing a group
Provide advice and/or counseling
Assist in information assimilation

Must be able to provide your time
Have a passion to help with the fight
Most importantly be ready to move into action
Listening to all parties in a believing and nonjudgmental manner
Clarifying issues, Suggesting options, Documenting, Locating and Providing information
Modeling appropriate behaviors and boundaries
Speak on the parent/child’s behalf when they cannot speak for themselves
Helping the family with written correspondence or phone calls
Attending meetings, Problem Solving
Educating families, Assisting parents in locating other supports, and following up
